Falma just wanted to be a human

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

Falma: “I’m just a normal human as you can see…”

Right…

Well, I guess being recognized as a god is one way to get the Church off your back…looks like Falma gained a reliable follower too, even if he is a little scary. ^^;

BniX • 1 year ago

My man Falma just wanted to live a normal life selling medicines
And here the Church people are treating him like a God lol...

Well,
At least he got some convenient tools like the wand and shadow thingy
So I guess its a win

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

Either a god or heretic. A Human Pharmacist is not an option lol

Kirito • 1 year ago

Falma just wanted to help people and because of those cheap really good medicine they think it's ayashi lol people

K boy • 1 year ago

I mean he has all the abilities that the god of medicine has so it's a logical assumption it's natural to think that something is or isn't something based on how they act and what they can do

Kirito • 1 year ago

They said the medicine god is really kind to people

Bruh • 1 year ago

if Jesus showed up today and started healing people or walking on water people would assume he was a paid actor.

Raul Evans • 1 year ago

lol yea, but the difference between this world and ours is that here people fully believe the existence of gods and the divine mark or something is the living proof of that, whereas in reality there is no such supernatural thingy & no one would believe if some fantasical thing pops out randomly. even hardcore religious people wouldnt believe it easily

K boy • 1 year ago

Yeah bc we have movies and cgi not sure how it'd go for the walking on water part if you see it in person though

DesuYoda • 1 year ago

NO SHADOW!! BURN THE WITCH!!!
OOOPS...looks like I should'a talked to you first...
Thanks for not killing me, miracle-of-god-boy...
Here's a Magic Staff!!!

Monkey D. Luna • 1 year ago

in a nutshell.

Kirito • 1 year ago

Falma has a shadow now thanks to that magic talisman

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

It was funny how Salomon talked about rising the ranks in order to make sure no harm comes to Farma lol.

BlacKyScYthe • 1 year ago

I am assuming a couple of people above Salomon, suddenly .... Lost their way in the dark and had an accident..... As they were... so to say - Corrupt and turned Heretical!

Probably for not knowing the ways of their new holy deity "Farma"! :D
Gotta say tho, compared to the other plebs - he is on Another level for sure......

vovan1 • 1 year ago

if it's for the god, it's not a sin! xD

Dragnorock • 1 year ago

I would believe Salomon made the seats above him vacant.

Kirito • 1 year ago

If that happens falma is gonna stand out and become famous glad Solomon didn't do that

TenseiSensei • 1 year ago

The problem I see is given he's supposed to be an incredibly powerful god, what happens when he fails to do something? I suppose they'll just blame themselves for his failure

Dragnorock • 1 year ago

Maybe they would all be like "GOD IS TESTING US" and say everyone just is not praying hard enough.

Pheonix • 1 year ago

Failing to save someone just means that they were not worthy of "God"

Kirito • 1 year ago

Typical Humans ya know w

WinterFrost • 1 year ago

Same thing that Ains (overlord) deals with will happen to Farma.
He can do no wrong, it is only us mere servants who has failed our master's expectations

Lolitagirl2015 • 1 year ago

Not really Salomon is a chill guy chekc out the manga

Sublime Hurdle 1542 • 1 year ago

Story Development goes crashing down

Ritsulove • 1 year ago

That bs is still all kinds of wrong. Imagine having a band of murdery zealots shooting projectiles at you, and they won't stop unless you prove you're a "god" type? Makes you wonder how many lives their little inquisitions have claimed in the past of people who maybe were just naturally born alchemists, or knew plant-based medicine, or had a knack for surgery.

xXPORTALXx • 1 year ago

I mean they were after him for eliminating a huge body of water and lacking a shadow, if evil spirits or demons and the like exist in this world (which their evil spirit binding spell basically proved do exist) it's not really a leap in judgement to think he'd be a dangerous evil entity. I'm not sure this particular incident is very representative.

Leo Aestron • 1 year ago

In later episode, Falma will explain to the bishop about a certain disease that the church has always mistaken the patients of this certain disease possessed by demons and make the bishop realizes that they had been doing things wrongly. Falma proved few theories of Church to be wrong. But, there is one that isn't wrong but Church can't prove to him. That is the existence of Evil Spirit, Falma can't get a chance to see them because of his aura as a God created a sanctuary keeping these Evil Spirit from entering the city. Or to be specific, these evil spirits can't get close to him.

yoonyoonie • 1 year ago

I mean the main antagonist of this arc (if it picks up) is a evil spirit so 💁🏻‍♀️ it is only a matter of time before it is proven without the church even doing anything. Cuz it's not like all evil spirits avoid him it's only the weak ones which are what's commonly out there that's why they never show up
Also with evil spirits being an everyday normal thing, despite the lack of appearance due to the ml's constitution, in a world where medical knowledge and technology being so far back and all sorts of gods and divine arts are present 🤔 I don't see much of a choice or path for the holy inquisition to take with the damage evil spirits can give one mistake or hole in their guards they would die and so will the people around them, it's fight or die 😞 no system is full proof. That is where the ml comes, cuz he is advancing their medical field and opening new ways and know-how.

yoonyoonie • 1 year ago

Ohhh 😯😯 so that's how you make the shaded thingys 👏👏👏👏

KEYARU • 1 year ago

The church needs some healing

Jackiedude • 1 year ago

Well, that's how corrupt religions almost took over our world. Everyone believed in it before and they let the churches go on "Witch hunts" for something they don't understand, just because of faith.

Like the Disney movie "Hunchback of Notre dame", Frollo is one of the scariest villains ever, just because he also is one of the most realistic villains. With a great standing in the Catholic churches, you most likely were able to overthrow a kingdom with how much power you hold.

Religions are scary.

No they are just doing their job. There is fear of evil spirit, and need to be elimiated as soon as possible. There is much thing that claimed as evil spirit doing but they definetly exists. Thats why they took extreme measure against it. Falma power just like portable sanctuary as big as whole city so he rarely seen any of evil spirit in first place There is no way to prove that overflowing power in first place and they don't want to take chances getting whole kingdom destroyed by evil spirit that have that much power.

Ritsulove • 1 year ago

"just doing their job"

That defense didn't work at all during the Nuremberg trials

Rx21 • 1 year ago

And still they are just doing their job. And your Nuremberg trials not work in isekai.

Ritsulove • 1 year ago

I disagree with your personal opinion. You're judging from a sense of morality which is based on what you learned on this world, but I can't use an actual court trial as reference? ..is that what you're saying?

Rx21 • 1 year ago

Its not like you cant but its still them doing their job. I judged based on their job. Their job is to prevent any evil spirit incident, but evil spirit cant be fully destroyed. So even if they need to kill innocent, its better kill one than get whole kingdom disappear.
Oh and evil spirit can actually have human intelligence.
They are just protecting their citizen from unknown force so its just them doing their job.
They never corrupt to begin with just doing job preventing disaster. Its easier to believe him as evil spirit because evil spirit exists in everyday life than believing him as god they never see in thousand years. Its not something like witch hunt. Its just Falma that never see them and experience their terror.

Pierre André Turner • 1 year ago

Not really, you only have to prove that you're not some demon or evil spirit. You don't have to prove yourself a god. I have read the manga. Also, this inquisitor usually deal with evil spirit which is a real thing in this world, it's just never appear so far because in the manga after becoming Bishop of the Capital, Salomon noticed a Divine Sanctuary exude from Falma body that covered the entire Capital of San Fleuve Empire that prevent the evil spirit. Someone who were just naturally born alchemists, or knew plant-based medicine, or had a knack for surgery have nothing to do with the Church thus would not be harm. Falma is hunted by the inquisitor specifically because he had no shadow and ability that no human in existence ever had.

Ritsulove • 1 year ago

"Not really, you only have to prove that you're not some demon or evil spirit."

Yeah, I'm sure some slimebaII used to say that to people before sinking them into a river with a rock during the Spanish inquisition.

Pierre André Turner • 1 year ago

In this world, only two reason why a human would not have a shadow under the sun, either they're a vassal of god or an evil spirit. That's the thing. They stop fighting him and realized their mistake after noticing a huge amount of divine energy and the crest of the God of Medicine. Unless you have another logical explanation for the shadow. They didn't attack him willy-nilly, they made a through investigation. Their main job is to drove away the evil spirit because evil spirit like to possessed a human heart as they're a being of pure evil born from the evil heart of a dying human. I told you this because the anime seem to be skipping the explanation part. As they're born from human evil heart, this evil spirit can be as wicked and as manipulative as human. To be fair, in manga the Bishop/Commander of the Inquisitor is willing to admit what he did is a sin and work hard to prevent innocent people from being capture by the temple despite what he did is the best he could do with the limited knowledge of the time and all he did is rendered the person who wreak havoc that can't be heal with purification immobilized. In the manga, he never tortured them. I am not sure in the light novel and web novel but at least that in the manga he never torture anyone. The reason why they got serious to kill him is because Falma have consciousness and intelligence cause having a being who have no shadow, have consciousness and intelligence is sign of high ranking evil spirit.

Pierre André Turner • 1 year ago

Dude, they capture him because they're worried for evil spirit is legit issue. There's a reason why you never see them here, in actuality they are everywhere, in the manga, mc is basically the only character have never met an evil spirit until certain chapter when they actually appear. Two thing why they go after him, he completely eliminate element in Marseille Coast and he have no shadow.

Kirito • 1 year ago

Good or bad life is

Ritsulove • 1 year ago

That means absolutely nothing.

Kuriyama Nikki • 1 year ago

It's wrong, but try to look from their perspective. If you happened to meet someone who defies all logic in our world, pretty sure you'd be scared as well, and your instinct would tell you to flee or fight. Even in the bible, everytime an angel appear, the first thing they would say is "dont be afraid...". We are just fearful of the things that doesnt make sense to us.

Ritsulove • 1 year ago

Two wrongs don't make a right

Kuriyama Nikki • 1 year ago

Right things doesnt always translate to logical things. Besides, there is no absolute right or wrong. Imagine your country is under invasion and you're a soldier going to a battle in defense of your country, killing is wrong by all moral standards, but would you just stand there and obediently got killed instead?

Ritsulove • 1 year ago

Hey, if you choose to be a tool, that's entirely your thing and you have no one to blame for it but yourself. History will simply remember you as such, and deservedly so.

Kuriyama Nikki • 1 year ago

Why do we need to blame ourselves to begin with? Following a survival instinct is only logical cause it's hardwired in our genes.
